3+ acres of urban ground in NW Roanoke owned and preserved by the Southwest Virginia Agrarian Commons.
Garden Variety Harvests grows vegetables, fruits, flowers and medicine here since 2022. Dating back to the 1940’s, this was the site of the Crowell Nursery, and since 2010 it has been the site of ongoing permaculture and community building.
We work closely with the Lick Run Community Development Corporation on outreach and education at Lick Run Farm.
